RE: Rule 58, N.D.R.Crim.P., Appendix of Forms
Attached are proposed amendments to Rule 58. The amendments are form and style amendments in the spirit of the December 2002 federal criminal rule amendments.
Rule 58 is not based on the federal rule, which sets out specific procedures to be used for misdemeanor and petty offense actions. Under Rule 1, such offenses are treated the same under the rules as more serious offenses.
