RE: Rule 10.1, N.D.R.Ct., Conduct in Court
At the April meeting, the Committee informally discussed limitation of cell phone use in courtrooms. During the discussion, a member suggested that Rule 10.1 be amended to bar jurors from taking cell phones into deliberations. Staff has prepared a proposed amendment to Rule 10.1(d) that incorporates the requested language. A copy of the proposal is attached.
