On January 15, 2004, the Joint Committee on Attorney Standards filed proposed amendments to N.D.R. Prof. Conduct 8.3, N.D. Admission to Practice Rule 8, N.D.R. Lawyer Discipl. 1.0, 2.4, 3.1, 3.4, 4.3, 6.1, 6.7 and 6.8, and N.D. Stds. Imposing Lawyer Sanctions 2.7, along with new proposed N.D.R. Lawyer Discipl. 6.6, and a new proposed Administrative Rule relating to a Lawyer Assistance Program. On January 21, 2004, a Notice of Hearing was distributed and a hearing on the proposed amendments was held on March 16, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. At that time, any written comments were also distributed to the Court. The Court considered the matter, and
ORDERED, proposed amendments to N.D.R. Prof. Conduct 8.3, N.D. Admission to Practice Rule 8, N.D.R. Lawyer Discipl. 1.0, 2.4, 3.1, 3.4, 4.3, 6.1, 6.7 and 6.8, and N.D. Stds. Imposing Lawyer Sanctions 2.7, and new rule N.D.R. Lawyer Discipl. 6.6 and new rule N.D. Sup. Ct. Admin. R. 49, are adopted effective August 1, 2004.
