Amendments to Rule 6.1, North Dakota Rules of Court
In March 2004, the Council of Presiding Judges submitted proposed amendments to Rule 6.1, North Dakota Rules of Court, relating to continuances. Under N.D.R.Proc.R. 3.3, the proposed amendments were referred to the Joint Procedure Committee. On July 20, 2004, the Joint Procedure Committee reported that it was not in favor of recommending the proposed amendments. The Court considered the matter,
ORDERED, proposed amendments to Rule 6.1, North Dakota Rules of Court, as further amended, are ADOPTED, effective March 1, 2005.

Justice Dale V. Sandstrom voted no on the adoption of the amendments because the matter could be handled by a cross-reference to N.D. Sup. Ct. Admin. 12 (North Dakota Docket Currency Standards for District Courts).
