Due to the lack of a quorum, the Board could take no official action.
The Board received reports from Alan Albright, Lutheran Social Services, relating to juvenile accountability conferences and their implementation in the juvenile courts. He reported that conferencing was available statewide, with courts referring over 150 youth. He then reviewed the results of satisfaction surveys from offenders and victims with the Board.
Jeff Bry reported on the status of intensive tracking services provided for the courts. He reported that the service is available statewide; however, the usage varies. He then reviewed data relating to use by the various courts.
Justice Maring reported on the progress in implementing the drug court pilot sites in Fargo and Grand Forks. She also reported that she would be requesting general fund dollars from the legislature to match federal grant dollars to continue implementation of the program.
After discussion of the drug court program, the meeting was adjourned.
