Minimum Qualifications:
Requires Juris Doctorate degree, licensure to practice law in North Dakota, and knowledge of insurance industry.
Preference may be given to qualified applicants who possess fraud, investigative, legislative, insurance, or regulatory experience.
Strong computer skills desired.

Summary of Work:
This position is responsible for administering insurance company market conduct examinations of domestic and foreign insurance companies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, performing market analysis of domestic and foreign insurance companies; providing legal counsel to the Commissioner and staff in all areas of insurance regulation, legislation, rule making, and as assigned; and conducting investigations in fraud and enforcement actions; and other related duties as assigned.
