Morton County, North Dakota is seeking an Assistant States Attorney. ( Pay Grade 14 ($4231 to $6346/mo).
Under the direction and supervision of the States Attorney this individual represents the County in criminal, civil and appellate proceedings.
This individual will draft legal documents, prepare legal opinions and perform legal research. They will advise elected and appointed local government officials and county employees as to their legal duties, rights and responsibilities.
They will also marshal evidence in civil, criminal and other cases to formulate legal action.
The incumbent will represent Morton County in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government. This office works closely with various law enforcement agencies, in an advisory and prosecutorial capacity.
